Stitch has found a pineapple bigger than he is and has decided to keep it, both arms around it and a palm tree behind. Hawaii grew most of the world's pineapples for the first half of the twentieth century, so this is the most Hawaiian fruit he could have picked. The skin of the pineapple is drawn as a grid of small diamonds, and that grid is where the time goes: work them in two shades of gold so the fruit keeps its curve. He builds a sandcastle on the same island on another page.
How to color Stitch with a pineapple
- deep gold Color the pineapple skin in gold, going slightly darker on every second diamond.
- light green Give the crown of leaves a deep green and the palm behind a lighter one.
- pale lavender Color Stitch bright blue with a pale belly so he stands out against the fruit.
