Bulbasaur stands in a meadow full of flowers, the bulb on its back, spots on its skin, with bushes behind and clouds overhead, and the flowers run right to the edges of the page. Bulbasaur is blue-green with darker spots and a green bulb, and since the meadow is green too, the flowers are where the other colors go: pink, yellow, white, whatever keeps them apart from the grass.
